Wedding Florist on the French Riviera: Flower-Led Design in Antibes

A September wedding in Antibes, dressed in hydrangea, delphinium and garden roses. Nothing else was needed.

GRÖNT is a wedding florist and botanical design studio based in Cannes. We design flower-led weddings across the French Riviera, from Antibes, Cannes and Nice to Monaco and the hills behind. This one sat on a terrace above the Mediterranean in September, and the brief was simple: let the flowers do the talking.

Wedding flowers where the flowers lead

Most wedding florals are judged by how much they fill. We judge them by what is actually in them. For this Antibes wedding, the whole design came down to three flowers: blue hydrangea, white delphinium and garden roses in blush and cream. Real, seasonal and full of character, arranged so each one can be seen.

We never use artificial flowers to bulk up a design. A wedding florist who reaches for fake stems to hit a volume is solving the wrong problem. If the budget asks for less, we design less, and we make it better. Fewer stems, chosen well, always read as more luxurious than a wall of filler.

Less is more on the French Riviera

The terrace already had everything a wedding needs: the sea, the light, the blue umbrellas, the rattan chairs. Our job was not to cover it up. Cascading blue, pink and white installations framed the ceremony, loose and soft. The reception tables stayed low, with a single centrepiece, fluted glass candle holders and a lot of air. Guests could see each other, see the sea and see every flower.

Blue hydrangea echoed the umbrellas and the water. White delphinium gave height and a clean line. Garden roses brought the softness and the scent. Three flowers, one palette, no noise.

Designed for the venue and the season

September on the Côte d’Azur is warm, golden and a little softer than July. The flowers followed it: cool blues and whites against the heat, roses for romance, nothing stiff. Every wedding we design starts with the venue and the month, never with a template. A terrace in Antibes asks for something different from a château in the hinterland or a villa in Cap-Ferrat, and a good wedding florist reads the place before opening a single bucket.

From the invitation flat-lay to the ceremony and the reception tables, one palette ran through every detail, so the day felt designed rather than decorated.

The people behind the stems

GRÖNT is a small studio and a small team, and we treat flowers the way a good kitchen treats produce: with respect, with timing and with very little patience for shortcuts. The workshop is full of buckets and opinions. The result, on the day, is quiet.

Wedding florist FAQ

Do you work as a wedding florist in Antibes and across the French Riviera?
Yes. We design weddings in Antibes, Cannes, Nice, Monaco and across the Côte d’Azur, from terraces and villas to châteaux and beach venues.

Do you use artificial flowers?
No. We work with real, seasonal flowers only. We would rather design a smaller, better arrangement than add artificial stems for volume.

What flowers suit a September wedding on the Côte d’Azur?
Hydrangea, delphinium and garden roses work beautifully in early autumn light. We choose according to the venue and the week of the wedding.

How far ahead should we book a wedding florist?
As early as you can, especially from May to October. Send us the date and the venue and we will tell you what is possible.

Is less really more for wedding flowers?
Often, yes. A restrained design lets the venue, the light and the flowers speak.
